Our Beginning
There we were standing in the middle of Homestead Avenue. Two young dads with a combined five young children and an idealistic dream of creating something simple … something with substance. That something was clear almost immediately. We wanted to teach our kids to understand that life is about giving (not getting) and we wanted to create something that we could build and someday, our kids would “run” for their kids. The idea became an email and the email became seven committed couples all with that same simplicity and substance … and something to give.

Our Focus
Generous Generations is a “network of giving” targeted at driving generosity within our community. By connecting people with opportunities to give, our goal is to create citizens who are actively engaged in driving a social cause. Generous Generations was established in 2007 as an organization designed to connect people with service and philanthropic endeavors that help to create strong communities, healthy families and service-minded children and adults.

The Founding Families
In the beginning there were seven couples who collectively brought this idea to life from concept to our first event in three short months. The rest is not history ... the rest is still unfinished.
